New Clothing

After much discussion it is time that we order new clothing for the club.  We are keeping the same design, but we are changing manufacturers.  After careful investigation we have chosen to use Hincape Sportswear.  These products are slightly more expensive that the Biemme clothes, however they are the identical items that are used in the Pro Tour by the BMC team.

***On Tuesday March 15th we will be taking pre orders for the clothing at the DD practice.  There will be a "Fit Kit" available so you will be able to try the clothes on, and see the quality of the clothes prior to purchase.  ***This will be the only date available to try the clothes on, so please make an effort to be available if you intend to purchase some of the new items.  Please be prepared to make a minimum of 50% deposit on all orders.

As the manufacturer has changed, we are blowing out our existing stock of Biemme clothing on a first come first served basis.

Attached below is a price list of the new and old clothing, and the sizes we do have available.

2011 Memberships Now Due

Good morning everyone.

 

I hope your training is going well and you are getting ready for the 2011 cycling season.

 

It is once again time to start our 2011 membership drive.  In doing so, I have attached our new membership form and OCA Waiver Form (2010)for your convenience.   Remember, your total fees are due by December 31^st of every year.  For riders wishing to purchase a racing license from OCA for the 2011 season, you will need to pay full SCC fees up front.  Once you receive your license and give me your registration number we will refund you the insurance cost that you pre-paid.  If more convenient, you can also mail your forms directly to my address:

Racing with the SCC in 2011

From your Racing Director:

Something a bit different for this year folks with the goal being to increase racing opportunities and experiences for club members.  As a result you will notice more events compared to previous years.  Save for the end of year Club Championships, these events will only be open to SCC club members.  Again, save for the end of year Club Championships, there will be no registration just prior to the event, no registration fees or cash prizes  ...  just bragging rights which ranks pretty high on the cyclist Testosterone scale.  I'm planning to run shorter, simple and safe events in places where we will not need a lot of volunteers.  Additional details per race will be made available approximately 2 weeks prior to each event.  I plan to run the Sunday events fairly early in the day for safety purposes and to allow for a group ride afterwards.

ALL events will be pre-registration only via email with deadlines indicated.  One of the club policies state that our main method of communicating with our members is via email and there are good reasons for this [i.e., not everyone can attend all workout sessions at DD Track and we don't have the resources to call everyone].  That being said some information will also be posted on our website and our FaceBook page.  So ... make sure you have a valid email address and write it neatly on your membership form so Michel can easily decipher.  In the past, I've heard members complain that they haven't received emails from the club.  This was likely due to the club having an incorrect address on file or possibly ending up in your Spam folder.
